The much anticipated launch weekend for the inaugural Call of Duty League has begun and EsportsNation is now live to provide the best in-depth coverage of the league matches and Challenger Series.
As teams finally get the chance to prove themselves, the hype for the event has never been stronger. The city of Minneapolis is ready to support its team, the Minnesota Rokkr, with promotional coverage on local news stations, billboards, street advertisements, and even apparel to purchase at local Target stores.
This will be a monumental first step for the Call of Duty community as it prepares to take its competition to the next level. While the twelve professional teams will be fighting it out on the main stage, a $250,000 tournament featuring 192 teams of aspiring Call of Duty League players will take place concurrently.
While most of the Challenger Series matches will not be broadcasted, a select few will be featured. Follow @eSportsNation on Twitter to get the best live coverage of the Challenger Series from staff on the ground in Minnesota.
The first Call of Duty League match will take place at 5:30 p.m. ET between the Chicago Huntsmen and the Dallas Empire. The streaming platform has not yet been announced.
